Martin studied at the University of Music in Vienna and University of Music Mozarteum, Salzburg piano, piano instruction, organ and orchestral conducting.

Among his teachers were the pianist Harald Ossberger, the organist Alfred Mitterhofer and the conductor Michael Gielen. Martin has a Master of Arts degree in organ performance from the University of Music in Vienna, a degree as a certified piano instructor from the University of Music in Vienna, and the first diploma in music direction and piano from the University of Music Mozarteum Salzburg.

Martin is BC registered piano instructor, teaches at the Langley Community Music School and is music director at St Andrew's Anglican Church in Langley. He directed several choirs and orchestras, performs with the piano and the organ, plays piano accompaniment, and coaches singers. CD-Recordings.
